Projects: ProPublica ElectionLand: covered access to the ballot and other problems preventing people from voting in 2016.
Master’s Thesis: a long-form data-driven piece about the efficiency of domestic refugee resettlement of Syrians in New York.
Other Stories Include: a piece on blocking Syrian entry in one of the most welcoming parts of the city with data visualizations, a data driven piece on the ranking of New York City restaurants, and a story on the first potential beach in New York City.

Reporting: worked on stories about education, American-Islamic relations, and race. One article focused on one of two schools combining Islamic study in the curriculum, story was picked up by the South Seattle Emerald. Another story about Muslims learning how to use public resources to counter racial profiling and discrimination, ran in the International Examiner.
Honors Thesis: “Persecutions and Patterns: A Quantitative Content Analysis on Ahmadiyya Coverage in Pakistani Print Media,” explores whether news coverage of a minority Muslim sect had a correlation with persecutions of its members.
